From September 8-9, JETAADC Co-President Lauren Mosely and Communications/Technology Chair Vivian Chen participated in 2023 NatCon held in Monterey, California, the first JET Program alumni association chapter national conference in three years since the pandemic.
JETAADC would like to express a big thank you to 2023 NatCon host, JET Alumni Association of Northern California (JETAANC) for hosting this year’s national conference. In addition, JETAADC would also like to express their gratitude to JETAA USA, the Japanese Consulate in San Francisco, the Japan Local Government Center / CLAIR, New York, the US JET Alumni Association (USJETAA), and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey.
The conference included hybrid virtual elements for all JET alumni and chapter officers to attend remotely and covered various useful topics such as reviving chapter activity post-pandemic, addressing chapter burnout, coordinating more closely with Japan-America Societies, and other focus areas.
