On September 28, JETAADC and JETs @ State cohosted a networking event at the U.S. Department of State Harry S. Truman Building. More than 40 members from across the JET alumni community in the DMV area and at the State Department were in attendance for this event’s first iteration since February 2020.
We were honored that outgoing U.S. Consulate General Osaka-Kobe Consul General Richard Mei and the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs Deputy Assistant Secretary Camille Dawson were able to attend and share remarks on the importance of the JET experience for diplomacy and U.S.-Japan relations.
JETAADC would like to express our gratitude to JETs@State, the US JET Alumni Association (USJETAA), and Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA (Sasakawa USA) for generously supporting this event.
