JETAADC Alumni Talks: Careers in the Private Sector and Careers in the U.S. Government

On December 13, the JETAADC Mentorship Program hosted its second Alumni Talks panel on Careers in the Private Sector, with three fantastic JET alumni: Kendaal Strailey (Ehime, 2006-2008), Alex Melillo (2012-2015), and Jenny Kai (Nara, 2015-2016). They discussed the importance of networking and the variety of career opportunities in the private sector.

This was followed by the Careers in U.S. Government panel held on January 9, with panelists Heather Ward (Nagasaki, 2000-2001), Terry Vo (Kumamoto, 2007-2009), and Kevin Chen (Nara, 2013-2015). Panelists discussed their experiences in local and federal government, and hosted breakout rooms with participants to talk about paths to public service.
