Hi everyone,
JETAADC was recently contacted by the new Children’s Museum in Bethesda, Maryland seeking some help for their Children’s Day event on the weekend of 5/2 and 5/3. The museum plans to highlight Japanese culture in celebrating the holiday and would love if some of our members could help run some activities for the children (target age is 6+).
The main activity will be making koi nobori with the kids, but other possibilities include origami, writing names in Japanese, using chopsticks, and trying out Japanese toys.
The museum has asked if volunteers could join on 5/2 (Saturday) and/or 5/3 (Sunday) from about 11am or 12pm until about 3pm or 4pm. If you’d like more information or would like to help out on either or both days, please send an email to Paul at volunteer@jetaadc.org.
Thank you!
