In the Community: DCPS Beautification Day 2014

At the end of August, a group of JETAADC members and friends pitched in to help out at this year’s DC Public Schools Beautification Day – an effort to spruce up DC public schools in preparation for the new school year (hooray!). Our band of 9 headed to Neval Thomas Elementary School, where they did some landscaping work and helped set up bulletin boards and reorganize library books. It was a great group, and the site leaders and other volunteers were energetic and fun to work with.

Pictured above are John Schneider, Ryan Bedford, Paul Schuble, Jess Burbach, Joy Young, Beth Slupski, Rena Yassiri, Julie Schuble, and Sachiko Tsunoda-Bedform. And a boy who was in our volunteer group! Thanks to everyone for coming to help out! Great work!
