the JICC is looking for volunteers to be at the Embassy of Japan from 12-4 pm on Saturday to help work with “Passport DC.” Basically, the volunteers have to answer questions about Japan for the duration of the event.
When: Saturday, May 1st ; Volunteers needed: 12pm – 4pm; Event time: 1pm – 4pm
What: Tours of Ippakutei teahouse at the Embassy of Japan and a sample of green tea and traditional Japanese sweets
Why: Embassy of Japan’s participation in Passport DC – Around the World Embassy Tour
Where: Embassy of Japan (2520 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC)
Duties as a volunteer: Answering visitor’s questions about Japan and Japanese culture, and assisting where needed to keep things running smoothly (giving directions, crowd control, Japanese tea and sweets table, information table).
Information for volunteers: Please eat prior to coming; water will be provided; dress is casual but nice (no jeans, flip-flops, shorts, tank tops, etc)
